Lesson 10 — Trials, SOPs, and scaling

Goal: Turn early batches into crop-specific SOPs and scale without chaos.

Your first 3 crop SOPs (minimum)

• Cutting maturity window (calendar + visual cues)
• Cutting size/node count + leaf strip
• Hormone product + rate
• Media + tray type
• Mist schedule (start + step-down)
• Bottom heat approach
• Expected days to first roots + transplant window
• Target rooting % and acceptable uniformity band

Trial design

• Change only one variable at a time (ex: hormone rate).
• Use small replicated groups.
• Measure: % rooted, days to first root, post-pot loss, uniformity.
