Lesson 2 — The propagation factory line

Goal: Turn “propagation” into a repeatable line with zones and handoffs.

The line

1. Stock plants
2. Collect + hold cuttings
3. Prep + stick + label
4. Rooting under mist
5. Wean
6. Harden
7. Pot-up + finish

Build toward 3 zones

• Zone A: fresh stick / mist / bottom heat
• Zone B: weaning (less mist, more airflow)
• Zone C: hardening (normal irrigation style, ready to pot)

Do this

1. Sketch your Zone A/B/C layout (even if it’s all in one greenhouse at first).
2. Define “ready to pot” for liners (root visibility + plug integrity + foliage firmness).
3. Create a paper “batch card” you can clip to each tray/flat.
