Lesson 8 — Weaning & hardening (uniformity maker)

Goal: Transition rooted cuttings off mist without collapse, and prep them for pot-up.

Weaning (step-down)

• Reduce mist frequency gradually (don’t shut it off suddenly).
• Increase airflow slowly.
• Increase light slowly (reduce shade or move to brighter bench).
• Allow mild dry-down cycles (avoid drought stress).

Hardening

• Move to a hardening bench with normal irrigation style.
• Protect from wind/sun shock for the first days.
• Begin gentle nutrition plan when appropriate (crop-dependent).
