Module 0 — IPM System Overview & Policy

Goal: create a simple Integrated Pest Management system you can run weekly as you scale.

IPM basics

• Prevent (sanitation, airflow, spacing, water management)
• Monitor (scout on schedule; traps; records)
• Decide (thresholds; action triggers)
• Act (cultural → bio → chemical; then evaluate)

Nursery IPM rules

• Every plant shipment is “suspect” until cleared.
• Do not spray on a schedule. Spray because your data says so.
• One person owns IPM decisions (even if everyone scouts).
• Record actions + results. If it doesn’t improve outcomes, remove it.
